How does Scaffold Hub help protect buyers and sellers?
Scaffold Hub helps protect both sides by creating a structured transaction process with guided support, keeping communication organized, and supporting secure payment options such as Escrow.com when selected. Scaffold Hub support staff facilitates the conversation between buyer and seller in the early stages to help ensure both parties are satisfied before proceeding with the transaction. A 14-day verification period is completed on all transactions to ensure both buyer and seller are satisfied before completing the transaction.
What does the “Liquidation Sale” badge mean?
The “Liquidation Sale” badge indicates that a listing is priced to sell quickly. This may apply to business liquidations, insolvency sales, bankruptcy-directed asset sales, or other situations where the seller is motivated to move the equipment within a shorter timeframe.
What does the “Featured” badge mean?
The “Featured” badge indicates that the seller who posted the listing is a Corporate Gold member, which is Scaffold Hub’s highest membership tier. Corporate Gold sellers are reviewed by Scaffold Hub before receiving this status, and their listings are highlighted as trusted, top-tier opportunities worth reviewing.
What does the “Deal Pending” badge mean?
The “Deal Pending” badge means that the listing has an accepted offer and is currently in pending status. During this time, no additional offers can be placed on the listing. If the transaction does not proceed, the listing may become available again for other buyers to place an offer.
Can equipment be offered for rental instead of sale?
Yes. Some listings may show a "Rental Options" badge if the seller has indicated they may be open to renting the equipment instead of selling it outright. Contact a member of the Scaffold Hub support team to learn more about rental options.
What is Scaffold Hub’s role in rental transactions?
Scaffold Hub helps facilitate the initial rental introduction and negotiation. Scaffold Hub does not manage ongoing rental invoicing, deposits, insurance, maintenance, damage claims, returns, collections, or monthly rental administration.
Does Scaffold Hub offer affiliate opportunities?
Yes. Scaffold Hub offers a paid affiliate program for approved partners who help bring qualified sellers and buyers to the platform. Contact a member of our support team at support@scaffoldhub.com to learn more.

Getting Started
What information should I include in my listing?
A good listing should include the equipment type, brand or system, quantities, sizes, equipment condition, clear photos, and any available technical documents or proof of ownership documents.
When does the buyer pay the Scaffold Hub introduction fee?
The buyer pays the introduction fee after an offer is accepted and before direct contact information is released between the buyer and seller.
Buying
Can I ask technical questions about a listing?
Yes. Buyers are encouraged to ask questions about a listing before proceeding with a transaction. Scaffold Hub Support can help relay questions relating to equipment specifications, quantities, condition, compatibility, documentation, and other listing details.
Information provided through a listing or should be independently reviewed and confirmed by the buyer during the verification period.
Who can buy and sell on Scaffold Hub?
Scaffold Hub is built for contractors, suppliers, rental companies, scaffold companies, formwork companies, and other construction-related businesses across Canada and the United States.
Selling
Can I list non-serialized equipment such as scaffolding, formwork and shoring equipment, building materials, etc.?
Yes. Scaffold Hub accepts non-serialized equipment. Listings should include clear descriptions, quantities, photos, condition details, and any available supporting documents that will help buyers get a clear picture of what you are offering
Can I sell equipment as a complete package or individual parts?
Sellers can choose to sell equipment as a complete package or as individual parts as they see fit. Scaffold Hub “Partial Listings” allow buyers to select and make offers on partial quantities from a full listing package. Scaffold Hub “Bundle Listings” require the buyer to make an offer on the full package.
Payments & Billing
How do I pay?
Once an offer has been accepted, Scaffold Hub will provide the buyer with instructions for paying the required introduction fee by credit card or direct transfer so the transaction can proceed. Payment of the remaining purchase price is completed using the transaction method selected by the buyer and seller. When an escrow service is used, the funds are deposited and held securely in escrow until the agreed transaction requirements have been satisfied. For private transactions, the buyer and seller are responsible for determining the payment method, schedule, and terms directly.
What fees does Scaffold Hub charge?
Buyers can browse listings and submit offers at no cost. Once an offer is accepted, the buyer is charged an introduction fee equal to 10% of the accepted offer price or a minimum of $300, whichever is greater. The remaining 90% of the transaction value is then paid through Escrow.com or privately between the buyer and seller, depending on the transaction method selected.
Any applicable membership fees, payment processing fees, taxes, or other transaction-related costs are separate and will be identified where applicable.
How does the Escrow.com payment process work?
When Escrow.com is used, the buyer sends the transaction funds to Escrow.com rather than directly to the seller. If the buyer and seller agree to use this transaction method, Scaffold Hub will generate the transaction through Escrow.com. The funds are held securely until the agreed transaction steps have been completed and the buyer has had an opportunity to inspect and verify the equipment upon delivery. The seller is then paid, less any applicable Escrow.com fees.
Buyers and sellers who do not already have an Escrow.com account can register and complete the verification process at https://www.escrow.com/signup-page.
What fees does escrow.com charge?
Escrow.com fees can be found here: https://www.escrow.com/fee-calculator.
What do I do if I have an issue with an Escrow.com transaction?
If you experience an issue with an Escrow.com transaction, please contact Escrow.com Support directly for assistance with account verification, funding, payment holds, inspections, disputes, or the release of funds.
Shipping & Logistics
Does Scaffold Hub inspect or verify the equipment before it is listed?
No. Scaffold Hub does not certify or inspect equipment on behalf of the buyer. Buyers are responsible for reviewing the listing details, asking questions, and completing their own due diligence during the 14-day verification period before the transaction is completed. Scaffold Hub support staff facilitates the conversation between buyer and seller in the early stages to help ensure both parties are satisfied before proceeding with the transaction.
When are contact details released between the buyer and seller?
Contact details are released once an offer is accepted and the buyer and seller have agreed to move forward into the 14-day verification period.
What is the 14-day verification period?
The 14-day verification period gives the buyer time to review key details of the equipment and transaction after contact information is released. This helps confirm that the opportunity matches the listing information. In this time the Buyer and Seller can decide whether to move forward with the transaction or not.
What happens if the buyer finds an issue with the equipment?
If an issue is found, the buyer and seller should work together to resolve it. Scaffold Hub may help organize communication, but final responsibility for the equipment condition and agreement remains between the buyer and seller.
Who is responsible for shipping, loading, freight, and customs?
Unless otherwise agreed, the buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping, freight, loading, customs, duties, taxes, permits, and any other logistics-related costs.
What does Ex Works mean on a Scaffold Hub listing?
Ex Works means the equipment is sold from the seller’s location. The buyer is responsible for pickup, loading arrangements, transportation, and any related shipping or import costs.
